I love it when a good friend surprises me with great news! This card was made for one of best friends who recently announced that she was having a baby. I’m so excited for her and I wanted to congratulate her in a fun way.
I used the Ella & Friends stamp set to create a whimsical scene of Ella the elephant playing with bubbles with her rabbit friend. This scene was stamped in Ranger Archival Jet Blank Ink, except for the bubbles which were stamped in Tsukineko Memento Summer Sky. Then I covered the bubbles in some Wink of Stella and a coat of Glossy Accents to give some dimension. The rest of the scene was colored with colored pencils and blended with gamsol and a paper stump. I adhered the card front to the card base with some foam tape for a little dimensional fun for Ella.
I decided to have some fun with the envelope as well. I decorated the back of the envelope with some bubbles in the same Memento Summer Sky. I then added some Wink of Stella so the shimmer would match the inside of the card.
I hope my friend enjoys her card and the great experiences that are ahead of her!

If you would like to know what supplies I used, I have linked them down below, so you can check them out!
I have been working on beefing up my craft room to get some cards cranked out. I was in need of some Spring/Easter themed supplies for an awesome card, inspired by the one that I saw on Jennifer Mcguire’s blog here:
So I decided to hit the online shop My Favorite Things: http://mftstamps.com
I needed some more fun colors of dye ink. My Favorite Things has a great variety. I picked the following colors:
- Lemon Drop
- Blu Raspberry
- Tropical Teal
- Orange Zest
I may not use all of these colors on the Spring colors. The Tropical Teal is a little darker than I expected, but it’s definitely a great addition to my collection, nonetheless.
You can check out all the choices here: http://mftstamps.com/supplies/premium-dye-inks?p=1
So funny story about this month’s Happy Trio Dies. It was a recent Free with $60 purchase. When I first looked at the die, I thought the second happy was misspelled. I emailed the company. Luckily, I’m just plain silly and I was reading the die upside down. I can’t wait to use these!
I chose a stitched rectangle die set so my card fronts could have a nice finished edge. I think a stitched edge can be just that, plus I like faux stitching in general because sewing is a personal interest of mine.
The Embellished Eggs stamp set has several great Spring/Easter sentiments, plus many fabulous eggs designs. These will be perfect for my Spring cards.
I got this stamp set purely for the the peep and the sentiments “To One of My Favorite Peeps”. How cute this that? This will be adorning my Easter/Spring cards that I send to individuals.
I hope you enjoyed this look at my shopping trip from My Favorite Things. I have a had a wonderful experience with their customer service and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I went a little crazy! There I admitted it. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, let’s get onto the good stuff.
There are so many cute things on the Mama Elephant website: http://mamaelephant.com It was so hard to narrow down my choices, so I went for immediate needs. Let’s check them out.
My whole haul from Mama Elephant
Let’s start with dies. I needs some staple dies. The Confetti- Creative Cuts are just that: http://mamaelephant.com/collections/creative-cuts/products/confetti-creative-cuts . I can see embossing some paper and die cutting a bunch just so I have them on hand. This would also allow me at have embellishments that would match my embossing powders.
Confetti Creative Cuts
- Smile Script- Creative Cuts
Next up is a Smile Script- Creative Cuts: http://mamaelephant.com/collections/creative-cuts/products/smile-script-creative-cuts I plan on making quite a few well wishes cards, so Smile will come in very handy.
- Hello Script- Creative Cuts
I can’t believe I didn’t pick this out sooner. A Hello die such as Hello Script- Creative Cuts: http://mamaelephant.com/collections/creative-cuts?page=1 is just the perfect hello! This would be perfect for a simple greeting on a fun technique card.
- Thanks Script- Creative Cuts
I love Thank You cards. I think they are the staple of the card community. Letting someone know that I am thankful for whatever they have done for me is very important to me. I can see the Thanks Script being used many times on my cards: http://mamaelephant.com/collections/creative-cuts/products/thanks-script
Now onto the stamps. Ella the elephant is so stinking cute! http://mamaelephant.com/collections/animals/products/ella-friends I have actually already used this stamp set to create a card front (you can check that out on my Instagram here if you’d like: https://instagram.com/p/0oUG10ydRq/?taken-by=cindyadh Not only are the critter so cute, there are some excellent sentiments to make this stamp set a much needed one in my craft room!
Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day are both quickly arriving on our calendars. And Mama Elephant has saved the day with their Bear Hugs stamp set: http://mamaelephant.com/collections/stamps/products/bear-hugs I plan on using this stamp set for both occasions. The sentiments are perfect and the bears featured on this stamp set just display this love so perfectly!
This next stamp set is a set that I fell in love with at first sight! My husband and I are part of an organize that provides support to active duty military and veterans. What better way to show them I think they are heroes with the Tiny Heroes stamp set? http://mamaelephant.com/collections/sentiments/products/tiny-heroes
Last, but certainly not least, are our Three Amigos. http://mamaelephant.com/collections/what-s-new/products/three-amigos These cute little critters have such cute simple sentiments to use. I can’t wait to use them soon!
I hope you enjoyed this quick look into my shopping from Mama Elephant. I definitely plan on ordering from them again and am already making my wish list. Plus, they have a release every month on the 15th. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Hello to my beautiful peeps!
So this is a purchase I have definitely been looking forward to and I’m so excited to be sharing it here right out of the box. I haven’t even given it a try first!
MISTI with grid paper, magnet, and recommended cleaner.
So if you haven’t heard of the MISTI yet, let me fill you in on some general information. It’s official name is Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented or MISTI for short. It’s probably the best stamp press I have seen so far. It is absolutely perfect for placing your stamps down on your paper, then picking it up with the clean door. You can even straighten out your stamps on the grid screen printed on the clear door.
A better look at the clear door and the magnet inside.
If you would like to read more details about the MISTI, you can do so at the My Sweet Petunia website here: http://mysweetpetunia.com
With my MISTI, I chose to do a couple of the add on products, like the super strong magnet available. I like the idea of being able to hold my work in place, if needed.
I also chose to get some of the 6.5 by 8.5 pad of grid paper available on the My Sweet Petunia website, just to help measure up on the grid if I need to move the project I’m stamping on.
There is also the Novus plastic cleaner that is recommended for the screen printed door. I decided to purchase a bottle of this cleaner because I know I am so messy! I’m sure I’ll get ink everywhere the first time I use it.
I’ll be doing some cards soon, so I will post a video on the basics of how to use the MISTI! So excited!
